Amazonas – Egmontas Geras

Amazonas is a research project for the digital capture of environments carried out with Patch Pérez on an expedition to the Colombian Amazon in February of 2020 (immediately prior to the mass closure of the world). The expedition was initiated by Marshmallow Laser Feast for a project that has since carried on to live through new & exciting horizons.

Our journey: London->Bogota->Leticia->Arara & back. The capture methods utilised to obtain pointcloud data were both LIDAR terrestrial scanning and photogrammetry. The majority of captured data currently hibernates on hard drives - waiting to be explored. The following are a handful of photographs, portraits and snapshots of our magical journey.
